So many snowfalls.
A crazy ice storm that splits tree trunks in half.
Dangerously low temperatures that warrant a cold weather alert.
This is the great Canadian winter we haven’t had in awhile.
I’m getting sick of shoveling snow, but I look forward to cups of tea, hot showers and our gas fireplace to keep me warm.
Whatever Mother Nature throws at us, it’s nice knowing you can hide indoors and catch up on some reading.

I probably should stop complaining about my “HORRIBLE” missouri winter.. I’m sure it has been peaches and cream, when compared to what you guys have been dealing with up north.
Haha. I wouldn’t say winters crazy as this happen all the time, at least where I’m from, but this has been the most “wintery” winter in quite some time. The past few have been a bit milder.
Your picture looks like what happened in Atlanta last week. 🙂 We were paralyzed by two inches of snow. Thanks for mentioning my post!
Two inches is nothing! Lol. However, if it’s something you’re not used to and if the city is not equipped for it, I can see why people would get freaked out by it.
Yea this winter has been especially harsh. I don’t remember when we’ve had this much snow and February only started. We did have pretty mild winters the last two years though. I think NYC and the surrounding areas are running low on salt and that might be a big storm coming this weekend…though the forecasters keep changing their minds.
I’ve heard on the news that neighbouring cities have run out of salt. I’m not sure if this is true but apparently it’s because some companies had a contract and were selling the salt to other places, so they couldn’t get out of the contract.
It’s been a pretty mild winter here on the west coast so I can’t complain 🙂 Maybe that’s why it’s called Beautify British Columbia lol. But from the pictures I’ve seen out of Ontario to the record breaking hot weather in Australia I think mother nature is being very extreme lately. Hopefully the climate this year is only an exception and do not become a trend in the future 😕
I wonder what we have done for Mother Nature to unleash her wrath upon us. In all honesty, I personally don’t think it’s an exception. I feel like the world in general has been having a lot more natural disasters lately. I’m no environmental scientist, but I wonder if it has to do with the climate change that has been happening over the years.
I really love winter! Lots of sales in malls and I can save more during winter. Thanks for sharing your experience. I enjoyed reading it.
I have to admit winter is quite pretty with the snow on the trees and ground. I hate it when you have to shovel all that snow though or when there’s a cold weather alert.
I did manage to get a few sweaters for a good price at the mall last month.
