As someone who didn’t grow up with social media, it still boggles my mind how it enables us to network on a much grander scale versus in-person networking. Many of you know how much I prefer to network and socialize online. Thanks to the wide reach of social media, my online network has grown tremendously, especially during the last couple of years.
It’s like the internet or having a smartphone. Now that they’re in my life I can’t imagine my life without them. I can take a break from social media, but I highly doubt I’d ever be able to quit it cold turkey since my business relies on it quite heavily.

I had connected with Stephanie Andrews (middle of photo), the co-founder of Origins Media Haus through a social networking app known as Shapr (I highly recommend using this app). Taken from their Instagram profile: “Origins Media Haus is the go-to podcast and video production house“.
With respecting to doing an interview, given the type of business, it made perfect sense to do a video interview. It was a lot of fun chatting with her, like two fellow entrepreneurs chatting over a cup of coffee. Only it was done through a Zoom call and there was no coffee. That being said, I think I need to do more video interviews (What do you think?). I prefer to be the one asking questions though vs answering questions. In general, I ask a LOT of questions. Heck, I’ll even answer peoples’ questions with a question. A LOT. Not to be a smart a** though, but more so that I need/want more information.
In this video interview, I chat with her about the origin of Origins Media Haus, what some of her favourite podcasts are (interestingly enough, they aren’t business-related) and more.
Enjoy!
