As many of you know, I am planning on getting married this year. We are getting married at the end of October. Autumn has become a popular season for getting married. With the crisp, cool weather and leaves changing colour, that time of the year is great for wedding photos.
Our ceremony and reception are being held on the same property, a local botanical garden. I’ve been telling people my theme is a combination of autumn and nature. Hence I’ve been trying to find invitations that have a nature/autumn look to them. I came across many lovely designs done by independent artists on Minted.
Here were my top three choices:
I’m still working on my guest list, so I haven’t sent any invitations out yet. I’m leaning towards the garden lights one. Our ceremony will be in a tent in the garden surrounded by a lot of trees, so it seems like a perfect fit!
Aside from looking at invitations, I’ve been also trying to find unique pieces of art to hang on our VERY BARE walls.
I took a look at Minted’s foil art section and found some very cool artwork. Who knew you could make foil into art? Their maps and landmarks section unleashed my travelling bug again as I made note of the places I had been (Chicago, NYC, France, Florida and Boston) and the places I wanted to go next (Hawaii, Alaska and California).
The colour of our walls is mostly gray, so I’ve been looking at paintings that had a lot of bright colours in them. There are a lot of colourful limited edition art prints. Not only are they beautiful, they are affordable too. There’s also the option of purchasing it with a frame. I really like that at the bottom of the page, they show numerous shots of the different sizes of the print. It gives you a better visual of just how big or small the image is, based on the dimensions. Underneath that, you can see how different users added the selected print to their own personal art gallery.
Whether you are looking for inspiration for your walls, your wedding, or a one of a kind type gift for someone, I suggest checking out the Minted site. You may find exactly what you’re looking for.
The garden lights invite is a good choice. Some great options in Minted!
Initially I thought about having our pictures in it when we were kids, but the garden lights one seems to go best with my so-called theme.
Great!I was also thinking of planning for a wedding invitation cards and I think Minted will help me on those.Thanks.
No problem! Glad it could be of help.
I really like all 3 wedding invites haha!! If I had to choose though, I’d go with #3.
