I know it sounds kind of cheesy when you say something changes your life.
But starting a blog really did change my life.
And it could change yours as well.
It doesn’t cost anything to start one up except your time, passion and effort. I call it a labour of love. If you want to become even more serious about it, it will cost way more time and effort than you ever imagined and eventually some money.
There are so many reasons to blog:
- to inform people
- to entertain people
- to keep track of your progress, whether it be your workouts or your spending habits
- to showcase your writing… and the list goes on
I think one of the best reasons to start a blog is for the sake of trying something new and different.
You never know who will read it and recommend it to their friends, who will in turn recommend it to their friends’ friends.
And the blog can be about anything. There’s a niche for something. There’s a niche for everything.
Have a thing for ice fishing and pistachio ice cream (weird combination, I know)? I personally don’t, but chances are there is someone, somewhere in this world who also likes those things.
Having a blog enables you to connect with people who have similar hopes and dreams, and who may be going through the same thing you’re currently going through. You can express your thoughts and engage with people. There is that sense of community with you and your followers. There is also that online community of fellow bloggers who are in the same niche or in a similar niche as you.
So when was the last time you tried something new, started a new project or taken a risk?
There’s no better time to start than now.
Enjoy your Monday cup of coffee and read the rest of this post over at the 10kCoffeesBlog.
